Disney Vacation 2008
We just returned from our 2008 Disney Vacation. We had a blast, as always! Our adventure began on Friday, Feb. 1st. We had a 6:00pm flight out of Gulfport so we rushed from New Orleans to get there. About 30 minutes before we were to board the plane, they announced there would be a delay. Okay, nothing wrong with a little delay. Well, when we got on the plane at 10:15pm, needless to say we were exhausted! I have to say the kids were wonderful. They entertained themselves and were very well behaved. We went with my sister and her family. My mom was supposed to go, but unfortunately got very sick the day we were leaving. She will have to come with us on our 2009 Disney vacation.
We arrived in our hotel at about 2:30am. Not the start we expected! We still got moving at about 9:00am and headed to Magic Kingdom. As always, we started our day with "It's A Small World." Hunter and Ava Claire had a blast and enjoyed every minute of our vacation! It is amazing to see the children "light up" and truly enjoy themselves. In our 8 days, we did it all and then some!!
Our very favorite part of the trip was the "Princess and Pirate Party" that we attended at Magic Kingdom. It was unbelievable. It was a special after hours party (of course you pay extra for tickets), but we had an amzing time. You basically walked on every ride with no wait and there were fun & different activities set up for the children. We loved the dance party in Fantasyland. The kids got to dance with Sebastian and Flounder from The Little Mermaid. Hunter dressed as a pirate, Ava Claire dressed as Snow White, and Maggie was Ariel. They were ADORABLE!!.
We enjoyed many meals with different characters! It sure was fun and went by so fast! Hunter got to go on almost all of the big boy rides. He is not quite tall enough for Space Mountain, but is very anxious and can't wait!
