It's Been a While!

I know that it has been some time since I last posted. A lot has been going on and I apologize for the lack of posts. Hunter had his first day of Kindergarten on Monday, August 25th. He had a GREAT fist week! I will definitely post some pics when I get the chance. It has been very hectic around here lately. I am glad to say that we are home safely after taking a "Evacuation Vacation" for hurricane Gustav. We were lucky that we did not have to go far. We were able to stay in Biloxi and have a nice visit with my family. We just got power back on Saturday evening so we were able to come home early this morning (Sunday). We were coming home regardless because the Hoffmann boys were headed to the Saints game. Let's hope that all is normal for a while. We are surely keeping a close eye on "Ike." We shall see what comes of that. I just wanted to let you all know that we were home and are glad to be back. We are very lucky to have been able to visit with family and spend some time in Biloxi. I will post some pics when I get the chance.

Last Night we took Hunter and Ava Claire to the Saint's preseason game. Hunter has been to many Saint's games, but this was Ava Claire's very first game. We went to dinner at The Red Fish Grill before the game and walked over to the Superdome. Ava Claire really enjoyed her first walk to the stadium. She took in all of the sights. The kids really had a GREAT time! Ava Claire loved dancing to the music! Hunter taught his sister to yell, "Go Saints Go!" We can't wait until the next game!

Gone Fishing

A couple of weeks ago Billy took Hunter on his first big boy fishing trip. Hunter is very interested in fishing right now. They went on Billy's boss's boat along with other friends. They had a great time! Here are a few pics from their fishing excursion. Ava Claire really wanted to go along with her pink fishing pole, but she is still too little. Maybe in a few years. Hunter had a fantastic time. Thanks Mr. Kenny for a day of fun!

Princess Ava Claire!

Ava Claire just loves anything princess these days! She is definitely "princess" of the house. She just recently saw the movie Cinderella for the first time and absolutely loves it! As you can tell from the pics, she likes to dress up in her Cinderella dress. Each time she watches the movie, the dress must be on. She dances and sings along with the movie. Her absolute favorite is The Little Mermaid. She said, "I need Ariel dress." So I am sure that will come soon! It is so much fun to watch the movie with her. She really gets into it and acts out the parts. Too cute!

Beat the Heat!

This past weekend, we spent some time outdoors having some water time fun! The kids love playing in the water! Here are some pics of the kids on their water slide and playing in the sprinkler. They surely had a wonderful time! Mom and Dad had a blast watching from the shade!!

Wedding Fun!

July 12th was Uncle Bobby's wedding to Keever. Hunter was the ring bearer and Daddy was the Best Man! It was a beautiful ceremony and the reception was lots of fun! Here are some pics that we took from the day. Sorry, I have no pics of the bride and groom. They were too dark to post. When I get some, I will post them. Congratulations Bobby and Keever!

By the end of the night, Ava was EXHAUSTED! She danced and walked around all night. A typical "social butterfly." The kids had a blast. They both danced and stayed by the stage all night. Ava was very upset when she did not catch the bride's bouquet. I think she has a while before should worry about that!! Hunter did an excellent job walking down the aisle and standing on the altar. He looked like a little man!

Bachelorette Party!

On July 12th, Uncle Bobby got married to "Aunt Keever!" Here are some pics from her bachelorette party a few weeks before. Despite the rainy weather, we had a GREAT time. Lots of singing, dancing, and fun! Congratulations Keever!

Bring in the Clown!

Hunter had Circus week at Summer camp so he had to dress up like a clown. Here are some pics of Hunter with his "clown face." Of course Ava wanted her face painted so she got to get a heart painted on her face. As you can tell from the second picture, the clown wig did not last long!

Baking Daddy a Cake!

July 4th was Daddy's birthday and Hunter and Ava Claire did a wonderful job baking Daddy his birthday cake. I let the kids take full control of the job and they were very successful! Hunter and Ava Claire are both little chefs in the kitchen! Just look at them go!
